TESTIMONIALS

“Rhonda Denét is a wonderful addition at Hamilton Park! We see a lot of entertainers around here, but very few have received the kind of compliments I continue to hear about her. Our residents fell in love with her after just one performance at our evening dining program and immediately requested future programs with her. As a matter of fact, they wouldn’t stop asking!

Rhonda always gives an extraordinary vocal performance of songs the residents know and love, but somehow makes them sound fresh and exciting. I always receive great feedback and numerous compliments from both our residents and staff after her performances. We are looking forward to her next performance for us and already have future dates booked. I highly recommend Rhonda Denét for your next event!”

Rhonda is a fabulous singer, performer, EXCELLENT!!! …. She sings with spirt, sings with everything she has, and sings like the only thing that exists is “the moment”. Kudos to the tones that come from Rhonda and her band. – Linda P., Fan

Your performance Saturday night was, as always, wonderful. … I am sending you a hug by email and want you to know how much joy you brought to Canal Walk, just as you bring to Cranford. Thank you Rhonda for doing an amazing job. Your voice brought so much joy to these ladies today, they were sit’dancing and they loved everything you sang. I will be recommending you everywhere I hear of a need for a singer. I wish I could do a social gathering for the seniors at least monthly.  – T. Ellerbe, Program Coordinator

Do I need to tell you how marvelous last night’s concert was?  “It was the best yet” said several people in the audience.  You were so warm, so effervescent, so knowledgeable about the songs you sang.  The audience was in the palm of your hand. Your musicians are extraordinary.  I deal with so many groups but these three really captured the attention of my audience.  I received an email this morning from a loyal concert goer, who loved it all; said she was “rockin’ in her seat, and heard one of the songs all night in her mind.  Me, too!

I hope you and your group will go on to much success and great applause.  We will be seeing you again, you can be sure. – L. Taub, Program Coordinator

Oh my!  I was the little old lady in the second row near your friend – had a smile on my face all night!

My husband (he is 88!) loved the music and the old songs – he was in his glory! I went to take him so he could bliss out – well it was I who blissed out! This was my first experience of hearing the songs I knew in a live concert – I was so full of endorphins that I felt like climbing over the chairs to give you a big hug.

I knew all the songs but two – the first Billie Holiday and one other. I LOVED the Billie Holiday number; I really loved them all!  This was like being in a big show in NY City – thank you so much for getting us all away from our troubles and into the good place!

I looked around and saw so many dreamy faces – and I felt you were singing for me!  You looked at me and smiled that great smile…what a night! – Mary T., Fan

I can’t begin to describe the performance last night. It was FABULOUS. It had the library rocking – or almost. People were very uplifted by the event, it was electrifying and inspiring – all at once. All 3 performers (singer and musicians) were terrific. People asked for an encore and the applause resonated throughout the library. Not to mention that those who were busy at the library seemed happy and curious as well. People leaving the program were raving about the whole things – no exaggeration.

Rhonda said that she’d come back in a heartbeat. She said that we can call anytime and she’ll come again. Patrons asked for her to return as well.

… Loved every minute of it. – K.P. Stancs, Library Staff

Rhonda’s ‘Black History through Music’ was greatly enjoyed by our patrons, from 7 to 70.  She kept them captivated with both her singing and her tidbits about each composer or singer.  It truly was a trip through Black History! – J. Burkholder, Library Programmer

I just wanted to thank you again for coming out.  A number of people told me they loved it.  I enjoyed it too.  I may not have been born yet for most of the songs, but good music is good music! – K. Craig, Library Programmer
